Shabbat is the authentic
Tzfat family experience.

As you know, many of our Sabbath songs were written in Tzfat. The prayer service welcoming the Sabbath was instituted by the Holy Ari and his disciples. They would walk to the spot known as the Khakal HaTapuchin HaKdoshin — the Field of Holy Apple Trees, just outside the city.

Tzfat’s Old City is replete with ancient synagogues, each with its own character and charm. As the Shabbat twilight descends on the city, Jews stream to the synagogue: Sephardim, Chassidim, Ashkenazim, Litvaks, Carlebachers, Breslevers, Chabadniks, traditional Jews of all stripes, and curious onlookers as well. Each wears the dress characteristic of his or her community, each with his or her own aura.

The Path of the Heart Center offers Shabbat programs for families and groups in various styles.
  • A Taste of the World to Come:  Carlebach-style Sabbath.
  • Enchanted Sabbath: Traditional Tzfat-style Sabbath.
  • The Ba’al Shem Tov’s Shabbat:  Chassidic Sabbath.
A Path of the Heart Center Shabbat program covers all logistical arrangements. We stress the content of the weekend, and tailor the program to match your group’s needs and desires.
